As with any project you start, gathering essential information upfront is not only beneficial to a successful deliverable but will also save you and your client plenty of headaches throughout the process and pave the way to a lasting and trusting relationship.
The more information you have equals the smoother the project goes — which in turn sets the tone for a good designer/client relationship.
Some of the questions below can be applied to more then just website design so I broke them down into sections for better functionality for your clients.

As a blogger myself, I’ve always wondered what other people’s workstations look like. I realize many of you probably wonder the same thing, so I’ve decided to prepare this post which includes photos of work spaces from popular blogs and websites.
Most pictures show Mac computers being used, sometimes in conjunction with PC’s and/or laptops. It’s also interesting to see how some spaces are very clean and minimalistic, while others draw inspiration from busier set ups.
Thanks to all of you that participated in this fun article and sent their images. Finally, if you have a popular website or blog and would like to be featured here, simply contact me so that I can include it here. The article will be expanded as other photos get submitted over the coming days.

Tangled phone lines are a common sight on the streets of Bangkok, so Procter & Gamble decided to take advantage of how they resembled long strands of tangled hair. To promote P&G's line of Rejoice conditioners, a large green comb was placed on the telephone lines, reading: "Tangles? Switch to Rejoice Conditioners."

Wow. Simply put, this has to be one of the best re-design / re-builds of a major brands website I’ve seen to date. The design/build was done by Rokkan, who just happen to look after the digital accounts of some of the best brands in the world. The new design is very “Virgin” in the usual funky way they go about things. It’s also very usable, with mega drop-down menus so that you can access all sub nav content in an instant. You’ll notice that the entire site is pushing web 2.0 functionality with the ability for users to post comments, questions and profiles on almost all of the 200 odd new landing pages for their businesses across the world. Infact, you can sign-up for the new online community and open a world of new content and interactivity with the brands.
