The speed of you website is very important factor, everybody should know this. WordPress is very fast after you installed it by default, but when you add lots of plugins to it and other stuff like heavy images or bad optimized theme your website will slow down.
If you have one website, you are in good position but if you own many blogs it is time to take one free day and optimize them all.
